Suichi didn't even flinch as he bounced right back with a Mud Slap attack.
The Bidoof, startled by it's opponent's attack, could only do another Tackle attempt.
Natsuki didn't bother interrupting, knowing that if she did, Suichi would be distracted and probably miss the mark. | |

Natsuki was silent as she watched her Piplup.
She wondered if she'd ever be able to bond with him like Will and Tyrannus.
Deep down, she realized that she admired them, in a way.
"Through thick and Thin..." A familiar voice echoed, seeming distant in her mind.
She hadn't truly bonded with anyone for five years...
Suichi ran up to her, eyes sparkling with joy.
Natsuki blinked in an absent minded way, not really sure how to respond to him. | |

Suichi sustained heavy damage, his head bleeding a bit.
Natsuki knelt over Suichi, silent in her cool composure.
The Shinx approached, running in with another Spark.
Then, Natsuki suddenly looked up, eyes locking with the Shinx.
The Shinx paused a moment, seemingly frozen for a moment by those creepy blue eyes...
This instant gave Natsuki just enough time to throw another Pokéball.
If this didn't work, she'd have to run as fast as possible. After all, part of being a Pokémon Trainer is the need to take risks. | |

| The Pokéball stopped twitching, as it seemed to ping in recognition of the fact that she had caught her first Pokémon.
Both Natsuki and Suichi were silent a moment, the gravity of the fact sinking in.
Suichi, despite his injuries, somehow found the energy to start running around with happiness.
Natsuki walked over to the Pokéball that lay on the ground containing the newly caught Shinx, and picked it up.
While Suichi did some kind of a victory dance, Natsuki was silent, seemingly thinking about something.
"Sinsari..."She said, rather suddenly.
Suichi paused a moment, curious.
"That's his name. Sinsari." She continued, turning to Suichi.
Suichi blinked, clueless for a moment.
"Return." Natsuki said, holding up Suichi's Pokéball.
A red beam of light shot out, and engulfed the Piplup, bringing him back into the Pokéball.
Natsuki, then strode to a Pokémon Center, still silent, still calm. | |
